Billy Bob Browning
DVM
Dr. Billy Bob Browning was born and raised in Albany, Texas and went to Tarleton State University prior to graduating from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr. Browning is a 2nd generation mixed animal practitioner who enjoys the rural atmosphere and small town lifestyle. Dr. Browning became a member of the Lazy 3 Animal Care family in 2004. Dr. Browning feels blessed to be an owner of such a progressive veterinary clinic in Eastland County. In 1995, he married his wife, Chasady, also from Albany, Texas and are proud parents of three children, Bo, Bailey, and Cason.
Jayton C. Bailey
DVM, MS
Dr. Jayton Bailey was born and raised in Albany, Texas and attended Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelors in Biomedical Science, Masters in Animal Science, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degrees. He joined the Lazy 3 Animal Care team in June of 2015 and enjoys living and practicing veterinary medicine close to home. Dr. Bailey is an active member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association’s Bovine Practice and Leadership Development Committees. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation. Dr. Bailey enjoys spending time with his wife, Roxanne, and kids, Bryson, Brynlee, and Brazos. He and his family love the outdoors, baseball, and Texas A&M. Together, they are active members of the Daugherty Street Church of Christ in Eastland.
Caleb Baumgardner
DVM
Dr. Caleb Baumgardner was born and raised in Wellington, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University where he received a Bachelors in Animal Science and then attended Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the Lazy 3 Animal Care family in July of 2020. He enjoys working with all species of animals and is happy to be working in a great mixed animal practice. In his spare time away from work, he enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and watching / attending Texas Tech athletic events.
Kelsey Haile
DVM
Dr. Kelsey Haile is a Texan native. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up in Jack County. Dr. Haile was very active in both sports and FFA during her school years. Dr. Haile received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from West Texas A&M in 2016, and she graduated from Texas A&M with her veterinary degree in May of 2022. Dr. Haile met her husband, Marc, while she was in undergrad school in Canyon, Texas. They later married in July of 2020. They have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named “Bosque” and a cat named “Merlin”. In whatever spare time she has, she enjoys crafting, spending time with Marc outdoors, kayaking, hiking, and sometimes hunting. While Dr. Haile loves all animals, she has a true passion for cats and cows where veterinary medicine is concerned.
Shelley Harbin
Veterinary Technician
Shelley Harbin moved to Texas from Illinois in 1979 and is a 1985 graduate of Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She has worked as a Veterinary Technician since 1990 and went on to obtain a Veterinary Technician license in 1995. Realizing a passion for emergency medicine, Shelley pursued a specialty certification in emergency and critical care, becoming certified in 2002. She has been a technician for Lazy 3 Animal Care since its establishment in 2002. Shelley has also enjoyed speaking and teaching at veterinary conferences, speaking on topics including reproductive emergencies in dogs and cats and fluid therapy and CPCR (airway & breathing). Shelley is a published co-author in the emergency and critical care training manual (Reproductive Emergencies). Away from the clinic, Shelley enjoys spending time with her two boxer dogs, gardening, traveling, and going on family camping trips, where she enjoys sitting around campfires.
Tammy Wald
Practice Manager / Veterinary Technician
Tammy was born and raised in San Diego county in Southern California. She was raised around and remembers having all kinds of animals, both large and small. She has always had a love for and has felt a connection with all animals. She worked for California Institute of Technology at the Palomar Observatory located on Palomar Mountain, California for 12 years prior to moving to Texas. Tammy and her husband, Greg, purchased their property just outside of Cross Plains, Texas in November 2005 and made the move to Texas in 2006. Tammy became a proud member of the Lazy 3 Animal Care team in July 2006 where she enjoys being around and working with animals on a daily basis. Away from the clinic, Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, being outside on their ranch, going for horseback rides, and working their cattle. She also enjoys spending her spare time with her pets and animals, which include two High Content Wolfdogs, a Standard Australian Shepherd, two Miniature Australian Shepherds, a Toy Australian Shepherd, eight horses, five barn cats, cattle, and chickens.
Katie Bostick
Large Animal Veterinary Technician
Katie was raised on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado. She moved to Texas in 2014 to attend the Texas Christian University ranch management program where she met her husband, Tate. She spent the past 15 years training horses and managing ranches. Katie joined the Lazy 3 Animal Care team in March of 2020. Katie and her husband Tate raise cattle and horses and enjoy spending their spare time at horse shows or relaxing on the ranch with their five dogs.
Madi Warren
Veterinary Technician
Madi was raised in Gorman, Texas where she graduated from Gorman High School in 2015. She went on to college at Texas Tech University where she recently graduated in May of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She lives on her family’s farm in Gorman that has all kinds of pets and livestock. Madi and her family own a show lamb business which is where she spends most of her time. When she’s not at the clinic or in the lamb barn, Madi enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her boyfriend, Ty. But most of all, she loves spending time with her three dogs, Sammie, Anna, and Mosley!
Erica Mayberry
Veterinary Technician
Growing up, Erica has lived in Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, and Utah. With a passion for all things horses she has competed in 3-day eventing and rodeos. In 2009, Erica moved to Alaska to further her education and attended the University of Alaska. While there, she met her husband, Richard, who is in the military. In 2021, Richard and Erica decided to buy property and plant roots right here in Cisco, Texas. After 13 years in healthcare, her love of animals brought her to Lazy 3 Animal Care. When she isn’t at work or at home taking care of the horses, cows, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks, she enjoys spending time with her husband, riding, traveling, and reading.
Octavia Hestand
Veterinary Technician
Octavia was born in Abilene, Texas but was raised in Weatherford, Texas. She attended a very small christian school from kindergarten to senior year. She played basketball and volleyball and was also very involved in her 4-H club and community. Shortly after graduation, she became a vet tech where she found her passion for working with animals. While working as a vet tech, she found a special interest in artificial insemination. In 2023 Octavia became a team member at Lazy 3 Animal Care to further her knowledge in both small and large animals. In her free time, Octavia can be found at the lake fishing, spending time with her family, traveling and keeping up with her two dogs, Freddie (Aussiedoodle) and Moonie (Bernadoodle).
Jordan Spakes
Veterinary Technician
Jordan was born in Fort Worth Texas in 2001. She grew up on a cutting horse and cattle ranch in Strawn, Texas. Jordan graduated from Strawn High school in 2019 and then went to Texas Tech University, where she graduated in December of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Jordan has 2 mini aussies as well as an inherited chihuahua weenie dog. She volunteers her weekend mornings at a local animal shelter. She enjoys spending any free time she has fishing and relaxing by the lake.
Keithlyn Barrett
Receptionist
Keithlyn is a Texas Native who grew up in a small town called Paradise. Growing up she spent most of her days in a practice pen on horseback, where she pushed to be the best in everything she tackled. She married the love of her life in March of 2022 and lives on their small ranch in Ranger. Her love for animals is what brought her to Lazy 3 Animal Care. When she’s away from the clinic you can find her spending time with her husband and their three dogs Clancy, Phoenix, and Bud.
Reecee
The Office Mutt (Yup, still in Training)
ReeCee is a Pit Bull and was born in Cisco, Texas on August 6, 2018. When ReeCee was 6 weeks old she had a large abscess on the left side of her face. As a result of the abscess, she now has nerve paralysis. This has left her with a permanent but endearing smirk. ReeCee joined the Lazy 3 Animal Care team in November of 2018. ReeCee enjoys her job of meeting new friends. Because Reecee is so shy (especially around men) she mostly likes meeting women and kids. She likes making her rounds when the staff are eating because she always manages to get a little something from everyone! She likes taking long naps under Tammy’s desk on her blanket. She also likes to go for long walks outside for her potty breaks! (This is also her playtime to stretch her legs) Away from the clinic, in her spare time she enjoys going to local Furballs and competing in costume contests, where she just recently took first place in Abilene at their Mardi Gras-themed Furball.
